Stall banked with bales of shavings
Wood sawdust bedding piled in a corner is a source for quickly adding bedding to a stall plus it helps to prevent the horse from becoming cast. Tail board is attached to the stall walls to prevent Saddlebreds from rubbing off their tail sets.
The shavings are banked into the stall walls to prevent the horse from becoming cast. This doesn't work as well as installing casting raiols. This also greatly diminishes the area where a horse can lie down and for male horses, they now are confined to the wettest area of the stall. Both are good reasons to not bank stalls.

Baled shavings with their wrappers removed line one side of this stall to aid in adding more shavings as needed.
