Toe crack after 4 years of attention including decompression, cleaning, and plate.
Horse A - LF and RF - Both toes are long with toe cracks. The lateral wall of the RF and medial wall of the LF are breaking off.
Horse B - The right hoof toes out causing the medial toe to become longer because he breaks over the lateral toe. The point of breakover is causing a lateral toe split. The LF is breaking over the medial side causing the medial wall to chip and a medial toe crack.
Horse B - 6 months after changing farrier. The toes have been shortened and rolled to help this horse break over more squarely.
Horse A - 6 months after changing farrier who is distributing the weight away from the toes. I don’t see how this trim will help in eliminating the cracks.
