Presumptive dental tumor of the incisor in a 7 year old Lusitano G. The irregular surface trapped food but otherwise was not a problem for this horse. We elected to watch this for development but the owner had not known about this until the teeth were floated.

Incisor tumor -The incisor was removed surgically and was found to be a benign abnormal growth of the deciduous tooth with minor involvement of the permanent incisor. The surgeon elected to remove both.

This horse is going to the university in 10 days for radiographs, an accurate diagnosis, and advisement whether to extract. The decision will be based on the behavior of the tumor (invasive or not).
