1/6 The left chin was thicker than right after 3 weeks of swelling and antibiotic (SMZ) therapy. On this visit 2 blood tipped lumps are seen here at the left bars which are at the distal end of the swelling.

2/6 The rostral lump has been punctured with a 20ga needle and pus is draining.

3/6 The caudal lump has also been punctured and the puss expressed from both and wiped away.

6/6 Both lumps have been opened and puss expressed. A large hole (relatively speaking) remains for future drainage and Tucoprim antibiotic was started for the next 7 days. The owner will monitor for pain and swelling. The horse recovered without any problems.
